Business Linux and Open Source conference (IBLOC) is taking place on 29 and 30 September in Portorož, Slovenia. The conference, organised by GV training center and ISG will host spokesmen and workshop managers from all over the world. Among them there are world top Open Source experts, th ereal legends: American Ric Shreves will arrive to Slovenia directly from Bali; Nils Magnus, counsellor for security at the German company Security Networks AG and co-founder of the most important Linux conference in Europe - LinuxTag; Denis Lacković received first prize on Open Informatics in Croatia; Dobrica Pavlinušić, who brought several prizes for web projects to Croatian company Pliva; Boško Radivojević, technical manager of Eunet, one of the biggest internet service provider in Serbia and Montenegro; and dr. Alessandro Rubini from Free Software Foundation Europe.
Open Source experts are unusual people. They think differently from those who live in the frames of proprietary software, since the basic quality of Open Source (ability to improve and modify it) force them to discover over and over again new dimensions of already known. One of the most interesting speakers is Georg C. F. Greve, president of Free Software Foundation Europe, who is recognised as one of the greatest open source experts in Europe. Physicist by profession, who, as a representative of German civil society cooperates at the World summit on informational technology organised by UN, do not fit in the stereotype of computer freeks, imprisoned among four walls and “in-love” with computer screens. On the contrary, he likes to drive a motorcycle, practices aikido and is a bridge expert. He also has a very interesting view upon the computer world.
Interview with George C.F. Greve is available here
Participants of the IBLOC conference will be able to hear George Greve's co-worker, dr. Allessandro Rubini.
Participants will have the opportunity to have a life discussion with the above mentioned experts and many others, which will be an invaluable experience. Reporters are invited to use the this opportunity for quality interviews.
