Operating system Linux with its Open Source solutions has vigorously marched into the market of business systems. Analysis has shown that companies are seriously thinking of using Linux solutions, but the reason for that is not their stability, lack of certain knowledge or lack of support. Common reason for their decisions are business partners. The support of Open Source solutions has its own problems, therefor the choice of suitable partner is of a primary importance.
The goal of this lecture is to present problems of maintaining Open Source solutions and to stress out the demands that the companies striving to use Open Source solutions must have. |
